We sensitize and support communities to take action to combat climate change. Some of the initiatives include smart agriculture, environmental conservation activities as alternative income generating activities to reduce overdependence on agriculture, mining and other activities that contribute to environmental degradation such as charcoal burning.

Community Mobilization, Sensitization and Counseling – Kwale Women Focus Initiative
Kwale Women Focus Initiative (KWFI) actively mobilizes communities across Kwale County to address emerging issues such as mining impacts, insecurity, and gender-based violence (GBV). Through barazas, youth forums, women support groups, and counseling sessions, we promote awareness, prevention, and community-led solutions.
Income Generating Activities
Sensitization on alternative Income Generating Activities to women and youth vulnerable to gender based violence. We organize counseling sessions; provide skills for managing and maintaining kitchen gardens and spiritual guidance sessions
Governance and Advocacy
Governance and Advocacy training for women and youth in and out of school on how they can advocate for their rights, participate in decision making and taking leadership position at school as well as at the community level
Sexual Reproductive Health Rights
Kwale Women Focus Initiative (KWFI) promotes Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) by empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities with accurate information, access to services, and advocacy platforms.
Civic Awareness
Kwale Women Focus Initiative (KWFI) conducts civic awareness programs on the Constitution and devolution to empower women and youth in Kwale County with knowledge of their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities in governance. Through community forums, workshops, and dialogue sessions, participants gain confidence to engage leaders, participate in public forums, and advocate for inclusive development.
