Volunteer with Kwale Women Focus Initiative

Kwale Women Focus Initiative (KWFI) welcomes passionate and committed volunteers who want to contribute to the empowerment of women, youth, and persons living with disabilities in Kwale County. Volunteering with KWFI offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community development, advocacy, counseling, and social empowerment while making a meaningful impact in marginalized communities.

Requirements for Volunteers:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Commitment to KWFI’s mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work in a team and engage respectfully with diverse communities.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to participate in community mobilization and awareness campaigns.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in gender issues, youth empowerment, disability inclusion, and community development is an added advantage.
  • Availability for short-term or long-term volunteer programs, depending on community needs.

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting KWFI’s mission by assisting with program delivery, conducting community outreach, organizing workshops, and ensuring the voices of vulnerable groups are heard and represented.

Kwale Women Focus Initiative (KWFI) is a Community Based Organization whose sole aim is to empower the community at large particularly the women, youth and persons living with disability and this was due to the fact that they are the most vulnerable and marginalized in the society.

Established in 2018 and duly registered in 2019 as a CBO under the Department of Social Development, KWFI is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit making organization and operates in 6 Sub Counties of Kwale County.
